Valle Aurina South Tyrol

Valle Aurina (German: Ahrntal) is located in the northern part of South Tyrol and it´s considered the northernmost valley in Italy. The Tures Castle

The Tures Castle (Italian: Castello di Tures, German: Burg Taufers) is one of the most beautiful and better conserved castles in South Tyrol, often used as a film set, also for foreign ones. A famous Italian one "Le Ali della Vita" is set here, starring Sabrina Ferilli. The castle lies in a panoramic position, with the Aurine Alps at its back, with a wonderful sight on the Campo Tures (German: Sand in Taufers) ski resort and on the Aurino torrent. This wonderful castle is also the center of many legends, very popular among adults and children. Children can enjoy also the "Ghost´s Hour", during which a fairy accompanies children around the castle telling them many stories and fairy tales.
