Alpe di Siusi South Tyrol
Alpe di Siusi (German: Seiser Alm, Ladin Mont Seuc) is one of the most famous and gorgeous mountain resorts in the Alps, as it´s characterized by wonderful mountain landscapes, encircled by the Pale Mountains (Italian: Monti Pallidi, German: Bleiche Bergen). The Alpe di Siusi is rich in tradition and offers many gastronomic festivals. One of the most charming traditions on the Alpe di Siusi is the "Plague Procession" . During this religious event, you can also admire the regions traditional costumes, very rich and colourful. This procession takes place the Sunday after the Ascension Day and almost one member of every Castelrotto (German Kastelruth, Ladin Ciastel) family takes part in it. Castelrotto is also the most painted village in South Tyrol; the procession goes through the villages of San Valentino and San Michele, to go back to Castelrotto.
The Pflegerhof Farm

You can also buy cosmetics based on plats, such as beauty creams and aromatized bath salts. This Alpe di Siusi South Tyrol biological farm is so successful that the owner, Ms Martha Mulser, has won the "South Tyrolean of the Year" prize in 2002.
